PROSOCO’s new premium Consolideck® LS (lithium silicate) and Consolideck® LS Guard liquid floor hardeners seal, harden and densify concrete by penetrating and reacting to create tough, insoluble calcium silicate hydrate within the concrete pores.
A worker spray-applies Consolideck® LS to the freshly poured floor of a furniture store going up near Austin, Texas. The lithium-silicate treatment hardens, densifies and seals concrete floors without the time-consuming scrubbing and flushing required by older potassium- and sodium-silicate hardeners.
Unlike older sodium and potassium silicate hardeners, LS and LS Guard penetrate without scrubbing. And no flushing is needed after application. Simply apply with mop, broom or low-pressure spray. The results are floors harder than untreated concrete, and much more resistant to damage from water, salt, chemical spills and abrasion.
That means longer service-life with all the associated savings in time, money and aggravation.
LS Guard also reduces maintenance needs far below the level of acrylic finishes, which have to be re-applied at regular intervals. Its installed cost is equal to or lower than most acrylic finishes, with a coverage rate of 700-900 square feet per gallon.
The liquid floor-hardeners also reduce dusting and simplify maintenance cleaning. Both products are ideal for concrete new or old, decorative or standard gray. LS and LS Guard comply with all known state and federal Architectural and Industrial Maintenance (AIM) volatile organic compound (VOC) regulations.
Neither contains sodium or potassium salts which can contribute to surface crazing/surface ASR (alkali silica reaction).
