PROSOCO Strategic Account Manager earns WELL AP accreditation

Nov. 8, 2017

Joelle LattimerPROSOCO is pleased to announce that Strategic Account Manager Joelle Lattimer, PE, has been named a WELL Accredited Professional (WELL AP) by the International WELL Building Institute.

The WELL AP credential is given to leaders that display expertise in the WELL Building Standard, an initiative designed to improve human health and wellness by designing healthier buildings. WELL APs study the impacts our physical spaces have on human health, and use that learning to design healthier buildings.

The International WELL Building Institute takes every aspect of a building into account – everything from air, lighting and building materials to layouts that encourage movement and fitness – when considering a building’s health.

“It is an honor to become certified as a WELL Accredited Professional,” Lattimer said. “It is critical that we consider the impact our material environment has on our well-being and seek ways to improve our spaces and, in turn, our overall health. I am excited to be a part of a community of leaders in the sustainable design and construction industries that approach building health in such a complete, holistic way.”

“The WELL certification is an exciting evolutionary step in creating better spaces for building occupants,” said Dwayne Fuhlhage, PROSOCO’s sustainability director. “It’s a natural complement to LEED and the Living Building Challenge, and I’m pleased that Joelle can provide expertise to our design and specification partners.”

Originally built as a community for architects, the WELL AP program has begun to spread through the construction and manufacturing industries. Current WELL APs represent the leading edge of building health research and knowledge, as fewer than 2,000 WELL APs exist worldwide.
